Sipnosis
Hong Kong filmmaker Wong Jing looks to start a winning streak with Mr. & Mrs. Gambler! Returning to the genre he's best known for, the veteran writer-director's latest gambling comedy stars funnyman Chapman To (Vulgaria) and the charming Fiona Sit (La Comedie Humaine) as a couple whose extreme obsession with gambling is perhaps beyond remedy. The two pathological gamblers fall madly in love with each other when they are both taken hostage by a loan shark in Macau. They get married soon after and have a daughter, but their marriage doesn't last long, as the husband develops an affair with his movie producer (Michelle Hu) while the wife is being wooed by a casino tycoon (Philip Ng). Their messy divorce results in a battle over the custody of their daughter. The judge (Elena Kong) dictates that they vow to abstain from gambling for one week, and whoever breaks the agreement first will lose their daughter! Co-starring Law Kar Ying, Mimi Chu, Hui Siu Hung, Harriet Yeung, and Stephen Chow impersonator Wen Chao, Mr. & Mrs. Gambler hits a royal flush with its lucky hand of romance, gambling, and hilarious hijinks.. |

Documantary Watch Movie Now In January 2008 a team from Los Angeles traveled to Honduras to capture the reality that children living there are faced with. We dealt mostly with kids living just outside of Tegucigalpa, the capital of Honduras. The kids featured are faced with working long hours in a trash dump collecting anything that they can find to make money. The conditions of the dump are very bad and kids are often injured and/or killed. The documentary highlights a school that was created across the street from the dump in order to stop kids from working in it and receive an education. |
